July 3: Abdul Karim participated in an extensive two-month long training programme held at the Research and Training Institute, Tando Muhammed Khan to qualify as a Community Livestock Extension Worker (CLEW).
Like the 191 CLEWs trained under the EU-funded Programme for Improved Nutrition in Sindh, Abdul Karim conducts outreach visits to the community residing in Union Council Choubandi, Thatta. Here, he provides services such as livestock vaccinations and referrals, hold awareness sessions on livestock health and management and carry out artificial insemination. This is done with the support of the District Livestock Department.
