The Pakistan Society Makes Donation to RSPN's Flood Relief Efforts

23 February 2011 - The Pakistan Society donated GB 3,002.71 (Three Thousand and Two Pounds, and 71 Pence) to RSPN's flood relief efforts. The funds were raised entirely by the volunteer activity of the Pakistan Society, a respected bilateral society which aims to increase public knowledge in Britain of the arts, history, antiquities and geography of Pakistan, as well as of its economic life and political institutions through a regular programme of lectures, meetings and social events.

RSPN and its partner RSPs have worked extensively in disaster relief efforts in Pakistan, including the 2005 Earthquake, the Baluchistan and Sindh Floods of 2007, the Baluchistan Earthquake and the 2009 IDP crisis in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. RSPN and the RSPs are currently involved in assisting families affected from the Floods of 2010. RSPN is accordingly collecting donations (in cash and kind) for these families and the donations will be provided to them through the on-ground network of RSPs.
